Tom is currently working on advancing the climate risk capabilities and net-zero efforts of a large international bank. Outside of his day job, he volunteers for a number of sustainability organizations – serving as an Executive-in-Residence at Foresight Canada, a Partner Member at the Energy Futures Lab, and a Board Director for various social enterprises. He is passionate about sustainable finance and energy, with over 15 years of consulting and finance experience in the for-profit, not-for-profit, and public sectors. Tom has worked overseas in Germany and Denmark, exploring the intersection between community finance and sustainable energy. He holds multiple certifications from the PMI, CECAB, RIA, and CSI; a post-graduate sustainability diploma; and three degrees, including an MBA, a Master’s degree in sustainable energy systems, and a corporate finance degree.
