School Travel Planning in Toronto
Green Communities Canada has delivered School Travel Planning (STP) services in Toronto, Ontario, since 2016 on behalf of the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Each year, we provide direct support to 20 to 30 schools across the city, helping them to develop and carry out action plans that encourage active school travel. These programs follow a data-driven process that combines community workshops, field studies, and municipal data and expertise, to identify and address transportation and traffic safety problems in school zones.
