Learn how to lead impactful green infrastructure projects that replace pavement with planted green spaces, enhancing stormwater management and urban biodiversity.
Depave Paradise is a multi-community project of Green Communities Canada and its members, dedicated to removing unwanted pavement and replacing it with native vegetation that absorbs and filters rainwater before it reaches local waterways. Depave Paradise demonstration projects make permanent positive changes to neighbourhoods and encourage others to take action! Over the last 7 program years, GCC’s network has hosted 52 Depave Paradise events across Canada and transformed nearly 10,000 square metres of asphalt into greenspace.
