In 2014, Red Squirrel Conservation Services led a depave project at Rideau Heights Public School in Kingston, Ontario. The team removed 350 square metres of asphalt and replaced it with a sandpit and gardens featuring birch trees, native perennials, butterfly-friendly plants, and wheelchair-accessible sensory elements.
