Home Energy Rebates

We are here to help you navigate retrofit incentive programs.

Our EnerGuide Energy Advisors can assess the unique situation of your home. We can help you identify the most cost-effective sequence for your retrofit plan, and find incentive programs you may qualify for.

Retrofitting your home can help reduce energy use by as much as 50 per cent or even more. It’s not just about reducing your bills. Retrofitting can also improve all-season comfort and resilience during extreme weather events. It’s about making your home more comfortable, more cost effective, and healthier, for you and the planet.

Canada Greener Homes Grant

As of February 2024, the Greener Homes Grant program is fully enrolled and closed to new applicants. Read our statement in response to the closure of this highly successful program. Homeowners already enrolled in this program were able to complete their upgrades and earn incentives until the end of 2025. Contact your Energy Advisor or their office for details.

Canada Greener Homes Loan

The CMHC Greener Homes Loan program was de-funded with the 2025 federal budget. This program offered interest free loans that enabled retrofits for over 120,000 households with $2.9 billion in funding. This is a notable gap in Budget 2025 and – together with the closing of the Greener Homes Grant – marks several missed opportunities to build Canada strong and invest in made-in-Canada solutions that improve our workforce and quality of life. Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate

Starting in July 2024, Enbridge is offering its natural gas heating customers in Ontario up to $5,000 for upgrades including insulation and heat pumps. For more information and delivery agents visit Enbridge’s Home Efficiency Rebate webpage here.

Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus HER+

This Federal/Ontario program has been closed to new applicants since early February 2024. Homeowners already enrolled in this program may still be able to complete their upgrades and earn incentives. Contact your Energy Advisor or their office for details.
